How to Measure Your Head for a Wig:
1. Circumference
- Start at your front hairline.
- Run the tape around your head, just above your ears and over the bump at the back of your head.
- Meet the tape back at the front hairline.
- Record this as your head circumference.
2. Front to nape
- Place the tape at the center of your front hairline.
- Run it over the top of your head to the nape (where your neck meets your skull).
- Record this as front-to-nape length.
3. Ear to Ear Across Forehead
- Start at the top of one ear.
- Run the tape across your forehead to the top of the other ear.
- Record this measurement.
4. Ear to Ear Over the Top
- Start at the top of one ear.
- Run the tape over the top of your head to the top of the opposite ear.
- Record this measurement.
5. Temple to Temple Around the Back
- Place the tape at one temple (just in front of your ear).
- Bring it around the back of your head to the opposite temple.
- Record this measurement.
6. Nape of Neck
- Measure the width of your neck at the base (where the wig will sit).
-
Record this measurement.
Tips for Accuracy: - Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Take each measurement at least twice to ensure accuracy.
- Round to the nearest 1/8 inch or 0.1 cm.
- If you’re between sizes, size up—wigs can be adjusted with straps.
